Prefab homes
We design and hand-build prefab teak homes in our Bali workshop, then ship them to your site in Costa Rica. In Costa Rica and Panama we handle local construction too, so you deal with one team from the first drawing to handover.
| Model | Size | Turnkey price |
|---|---|---|
| Studio | 35 m² | $42,000 |
| One-Bedroom | 72 m² | $108,000 |
| Compact Two-Bedroom | 120 m² | $180,000 |
| Two-Bedroom | 152 m² | $228,000 |
If you want a design drawn around your land, custom homes price from $1,200 per square metre and can reach $2,000 or more, depending on the design. A design fee, from $2,000 and credited against your project, covers your design plus an accurate shipping estimate, and a local construction estimate if you're building in Costa Rica or Panama. See the Custom Villa page for details.
We build prefab teak homes: a structure fitted together once in our Bali workshop, taken apart, shipped in a container, and raised again on your site. We don't build modular or mobile homes, and our homes are not shipping-container conversions. A container is only how we ship them.
We build in teak, benkirai and reclaimed ironwood: dense, rot- and termite-resistant hardwoods suited to a tropical climate. We're fully certified by SLVK, which confirms our wood complies with Indonesian law and qualifies for the V-Legal Certificate required for export.
Our work stands at Nayara Bocas del Toro, Selva Armonía, Uvita Bali Bosque and a private octagon villa in Uvita, among other projects. See all our projects.
Five stages: villa design, prefabrication in our Bali workshop, shipping and customs clearance, local construction, and delivery.
A single villa takes 6 to 8 months from signing to arrival on site. Local construction in Costa Rica and Panama comes after the villa arrives, and adds to that timeline. See the shipping and import process for details.
From $42,000 for our 35 m² Studio, turnkey. See the prices page for the full standard model range.
