How we handle your information

When you use a form on this site, we collect:

• Contact form: your name, email address, and any project details, timeline, or message you choose to share.
• Catalogue request form: your name and email address, and your consent to be contacted. You can also optionally opt in to our newsletter from this form.
• Newsletter signup: your email address and your consent to receive occasional project updates and craft stories, whether you sign up from the footer or opt in via the catalogue form.
• Automatically, for all forms: your IP address, kept only to detect and block spam submissions.

We don’t ask for or store payment details on this site.

We use what you submit to respond to your enquiry, send the catalogue you requested, and follow up about your project. If you opt in to our newsletter, we use your email address to send you occasional project updates and craft stories — nothing else, and only if you’ve actively agreed to it. IP addresses are used only to rate-limit form submissions and stop automated spam — never to identify or track individual visitors.

Form submissions are stored in Sanity, the content platform we use to run this site, and are accessible only to Bali Home Designs staff with an authorized account. When you submit the contact or catalogue form, we also send ourselves an email notification (via Resend) so a real person sees your message quickly — that email contains the same details you submitted. If you opt in to our newsletter, your email address is also added to our Mailchimp mailing list, which is what actually sends the newsletter itself.

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this site — which pages are popular, and roughly where visitors are browsing from. This only runs if you accept cookies via the banner shown on your first visit; if you decline, no analytics cookies are set, and you can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser’s local storage for this site.

We don’t sell your information or share it with third parties for their own marketing. We do use a small number of service providers to run this site and respond to you, each acting on our behalf:

• Sanity — stores form submissions and the site’s content.
• Resend — delivers the email notification when you submit a form.
• Mailchimp — manages our newsletter mailing list and sends the newsletter itself, only for visitors who’ve opted in.
• Google Analytics — provides site usage statistics, only after you accept cookies.
• Vercel — hosts this website.

We keep form submissions for as long as reasonably useful to respond to your enquiry or project, and delete or anonymize them on request. IP addresses collected for spam prevention are not needed long-term and are not retained as part of your project record.

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing us at the address below. If you’re located in the European Economic Area, the UK, or another region with data protection laws such as the GDPR, these are rights you hold under that law, and we’ll respond accordingly.

If we change how we handle your information, we’ll update this page and change the date at the top.
